Topičův salon

  • art nouveau

Topič’s salon on Národní třída, opposite the National Theatre, is a magnificent example of Prague’s Art Nouveau architecture. Its façade, with its colourful stained-glass windows, mosaics, and figural and floral stucco details, is impossible to miss. The building was constructed at the beginning of the 20th century to a design by the architect Osvald Polívka. It was named after the famous Prague publisher František Topič, who used to showcase both Czech and foreign art here at the time.
