Prague — various places

  • free
  • open air

The Urban Pictus Festival invites you to discover Prague through mural art, which transforms building facades and public spaces into contemporary works of art. From June through September, it brings large-scale murals with a powerful visual and social message to various parts of the city, bringing together Czech and international artists. Set out to explore murals across the city and see how contemporary art naturally takes to the streets and gives familiar places new meaning.

One of this year’s most notable projects is the Ruzyně Mural on Vlastina Street in Prague 6, which, given its size, ranks among the largest of its kind in Europe. From June 15 to 30, a collaborative work by thirty artists from the Czech Republic and abroad is being created on a wall more than 700 meters long, transforming what was once an anonymous space into a vast open-air gallery.

More information about upcoming murals is available on the www.urbanpictus.art/program/muraly
