Twice during the day, a ceremonial procession of the king and his retinue will arrive at the site, offering visitors a grand welcome, displays of medieval combat skills, and an opportunity for children to take part in medieval training activities. Discover the Story of the First King of Bohemia This event commemorates the 940th anniversary of the coronation of King Vratislaus II, the first King of Bohemia, and his wife Świętosława (Svatava of Poland), the first Queen of Bohemia. Vratislaus II was also the founder of the Vyšehrad Chapter and the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul, whose legacy remains an integral part of Vyšehrad’s history. Throughout the day, you can explore a medieval camp and experience the atmosphere of daily life in the Middle Ages, including demonstrations of traditional crafts.
