Prostora Gallery will showcase a private collection by the artist, graphic designer, and photographer Robert V. Novák titled Window. The exhibition is almost like a window into the artist’s soul. Works that would hardly meet within a curatorially conceived exhibition here form a purely personal, introspective statement. It features works by renowned artists as well as anonymous creators, from both the Czech and international scenes. The collection consists mainly of drawings, prints, and photographs, as well as several paintings. “I collect / do not collect art in a very specific way. These are primarily works by friends and acquaintances, or works connected to my work and life. The first piece included in the exhibition was given to me by Kamil Lhoták when I was six years old, in a lithographic workshop where my mother worked at the time. Paradoxically, this small lithograph, through its subject matter, inadvertently became a precursor to another of my collecting obsessions.” Robert V.
