The Klang Systematiek ensemble will close its 2027 fall season on December 4 at the X10 Theater with Ludwig van Mauritius Kagel—an unconventional take on the music of Ludwig van Beethoven, in which concert meets theater, humor, and hyperbole. Kagel dissects Beethoven’s music, layering and reassembling it into new contexts, so that familiar fragments appear in surprising combinations, allowing listeners to experience this intimately familiar composer from a completely different perspective. At the same time, the space at Theater X10 will allow the work’s scenic and performative aspects to unfold, concluding the fall series with the question of what, exactly, a concert can be.

The concert is part of the Klang Systematiek: Autumn 2026 series. The discounted Autumn Pass allows you to attend all three fall concerts.
