Joie de Vivre is a French expression that literally translates as “joy of life.” It refers to infectious enthusiasm, zest for life, optimism, and the ability to deeply enjoy the present moment and the little things in everyday life. The Joie de Vivre exhibition presents the current work of Tomáš Jetela, Tomáš Němec, and Václav Misař—three painters who were there at the very beginnings of The Chemistry Gallery. It was with them that the gallery shaped its identity in 2008 and 2009, sought its own voice, and discovered artists whose work has stood the test of time.
