DSC Gallery

DSC Gallery presents the exhibition Forgotten Realms, which showcases the work of four prominent artists from the Central European contemporary art scene: Beáta Hechtová, Botond Keresztesi, Kristína Bukovčáková Navrátil, and Dominik Styk. The exhibition opens up a space for imaginative landscapes in which ancient stories, ecological transformations, and speculative visions of the future intertwine. Here, the landscape is not merely a backdrop, but a living archive of collective memory, climate concerns, folklore, and new forms of existence. Each of the exhibiting artists offers their own perspective on the relationship between humans, nature, and myth—ranging from futuristic folklore and ecological rituals to absurd visual collages connecting different temporal planes, and culminating in a sensitive exploration of microecosystems, plants, insects, textiles, masks, and puppetry. Curated by Sarah Adnan, the exhibition invites visitors into worlds that straddle the boundary between reality and fiction, the past and the future. Through paintings and objects, it reveals new ways of thinking about the changing landscape and our place within it.
