The international ensemble Klang Systematiek will kick off its fall season on September 30 at Gabriel Loci with a concert that blends music, visual art, and performance. The program will feature the work of Christian Marclay, one of the most prominent contemporary artists bridging sound and the visual arts. In his works Graffiti Composition, Shuffle, and To Be Continued, visual material serves as the starting point for live musical interpretation and raises the question of what can constitute a musical score. The evening will be complemented by the energetic composition Ablauf by Finnish composer Magnus Lindberg. The striking architecture of Gabriel Loci is not only the venue but also a natural part of the program, which combines sound, image, and space.
