Prague — various places

This annual event, organized by the National Heritage Institute since 2010, marks the traditional highlight of the tourist season at historic sites. Its goal is to showcase these sites in a new light, at an unusual time of day, and with a special program. Unlike Museum Nights, it is not a requirement that the events be free for visitors; on the contrary, it is customary to charge an admission fee. The 2026 Castle and Chateau Night will take place on Saturday, August 22. Once again, it will take place at dozens of historic sites throughout the Czech Republic and will offer a diverse cultural program, ranging from night tours (tours with unconventional lighting) to theater performances and musical acts, as well as curated programs.

The following Prague landmarks participate in this event every year: the Senate of the Czech Republic, the Gardens below Prague Castle, Invalidovna, and Chvalský Castle. In 2025, Hartig Palace also took part. The organizers will announce the program for 2026 later this year.
