I Virtuosi Italiani will transport listeners to the world of celebrated eighteenth-century Italian violin virtuosos. Performed by the Collegium Marianum ensemble under the direction of Jana Semerádová, the programme features works by composers such as Antonio Vivaldi, Giuseppe Tartini, Francesco Maria Veracini, and Pietro Locatelli, whose music helped shape the character of European Baroque culture. The two concerts in the Theresian Hall of Břevnov Monastery will be complemented by captivating readings from the travel journals of the French nobleman Charles de Brosses, enhancing the atmosphere of this musical journey through Italy.
