The ARENA Festival, founded by the Forman Brothers Theater, is a Prague showcase of theater, new circus, music, and contemporary visual arts. In 2026, the festival will move from Smíchov to Štvanice Island, where it will offer theater, concerts, and creative workshops for children in an original open-air setting. ARENA invites you to enjoy a pleasant afternoon with family and friends and connects the world avantgarde with the creative spirit of Prague.

The main program will feature, among other things, the Forman Brothers Theater’s Bird Assembly, the visually striking Anatomy of Desire by French artist Boris Gibé, the acrobatic show Vent d’Ouest by the Belgian troupe Les P’tits Bras, and the poetic Le Grand Théâtre Mécanique. The popular Imaginárium will also be there, featuring an interactive exhibition and a space for children’s theater weekends and creative workshops.
The festival remains true to its atmosphere, with performances taking place in theater big tops on Štvanice Island and on the legendary Tajemství ship at Náplavka. ARENA thus combines classical theatrical aesthetics with contemporary circus, music, and playfulness that will appeal to both children and adults.
