Astronomical Clock

The medieval astrolabe from 1410 shows not only the 24 hours of the day, but also the position of the Sun and the Moon in the sky; zodiac signs; four allegorical figures of Greed, Vanity, Death and Extravagance, and the procession of 12 apostles set in motion when the clock strikes the hour.

Prague Castle

The symbol of Czech statehood. The world’s largest continuously inhabited castle complex listed in Guiness World Records. Founded in the 9th century, Prague Castle has housed Czech kings & today’s presidents. The familiar view illustration includes green leaves of small-leaved lime, a Czech national tree.
