share

The functionalist building of the National Museum of Agriculture has been recently reconstructed and there has been created unique garden at the rooftop. The terrace offers unique and attractive views of Prague, incl. Prague Castle, Petřín, or Old Town. The garden with soft grass, a herb garden, and a picnic area is great for relaxation. What is also interesting is that there are also bee hives.

The roof garden of the museum represents a completely unique concept. The “Living Garden of Views” exposition features beehives, a field with agricultural crops, and a lawn for sitting or enjoying a picnic. And an unforgettable view of Prague.

The view from the roof of the National Museum of Agriculture is one of the most beautiful and attractive in the entire capital, as it overlooks all the important places from Prague’s history and contemporary life at once.

The view of the city also evokes a number of questions. What would life in the city be like without agriculture? It is estimated that by 2030, almost 60% of the world’s population will live in cities. Will agriculture move here too? Will vertical farming be more efficient than agricultural fields? Will we stop associating agriculture with the countryside?
