Nostický palác

  • private

This extensive Baroque palace near Kampa was constructed between 1658 and 1660 and remained the property of the noble House of Nostitz until 1945. The palace currently serves as the seat of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and is not ordinarily accessible to the public. The building is typically open during Open Days, when visitors can admire the picture gallery with many remarkable works by Old Masters, the stately Billiard Hall, the Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, or the original Nostitz Library, which comprises some 14,000 volumes. Exhibition spaces are also located within the palace.
