The exposition is located on the premises of the former heating plant of the Buštěhradské dráhy railway company in Lužná - Lišany. Today, the museum comprises the original 1871 heating plant, a depot with a rotunda, turntable, coal handling equipment and assembly halls, completed in 1924, to which a large repair shop for motor locomotives was added in the 1980s. It houses the largest collection of steam locomotives in our country. Moreover, you can view historic diesel and electric locomotives, period passenger and freight cars, plus other exhibits essential to railway operation. Come and have a look and enjoy a good dose of nostalgia. opening hours april—may mon—fri closed sat—sun 9:30—17:00 june—august mon closed tue—sun 9:30—17:00 september—october mon—fri closed sat—sun 9:30—17:00 more about opening hours admission basic 200 CZK reduced 160 CZK family 580 CZK more about admission admission basic 200 CZK reduced 160 CZK family 580 CZK tours Within the exhibition you can try interactive exhibits, like changing a signal, opening a level crossing or giving a train the signal to depart.
