Lesopark Cibulka

The Cibulka Forest Park is located in Prague’s Košíře district. It most notable feature is a 13-metre high observation tower in the upper part of the park; open all year round, it was built as a folly. The park also contains the Chinese Pavilion - a miniature octagonal pagoda, built in 1822. There are footpaths and biking trails running through the forest, and several benches and gazebos where you can sit and enjoy the scenery. There is a playground for the little ones. The woods are part of the former Cibulka estate, the name of which derives from the Cibulka family from Veleslavín, who owned the vineyards here in the 15th century. In 1815, the estate was purchased by the Bishop of Passau, Leopold Leonhard Raymund Count of Thun and Hohenstein, who later had the entire site landscaped and added a number of romantic buildings and sculptures to create an English-style park.
