The bronze bust of Franz Kafka is located on house No. 17 on Jiřího náměstí Square. It is the birthplace of the writer’s mother, Julie Kafka (née Löwy). Franz Kafka often stayed at the house. The author of the bust is academic sculptor and Poděbrady native Jan Pichl. Source: www.turistika.cz
