Where the current neoclassicist building now stands used to be a Baroque house from the first half of the 18th century, called U Choděrů – after an acclaimed restaurant. In this house, specifically in the Rubeš Salon, an exhibition of Mucha’s drawings was held from 4 June to 4 July 1915. The building was demolished in 1920 due to building regulations.
