The gallery is located close to Wenceslas Square in the Franciscan monastery associated with the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, which was established in 1347 by Charles IV. It offers space for short-term exhibitions, primarily by Czech artists, and is also the setting for the traditional Christmas exhibition of nativity scenes.
