The brewing tradition of the royal town of Slaný dates back to the 16th century, when the venerable burgher Antoš brewed beer on the site. The tradition of brewing beer in Slaný was renewed in 2010 by the founder of a small craft brewery, Mr. Paulík, in the very same place where burgher Antoš used to brew his beer, in a Renaissance building at 14 Vinařického Street in the centre of town. Five years later, the capacity of the brew pub was no longer sufficient, so most of the production was moved to a new facility on Pražská třída street. The beer is tapped directly from the lager cellars, unfiltered and unpasteurised to preserve its unique characteristics of live beer as our ancestors knew it. At the Antošova krčma brewery restaurant, you can taste not only Czech cuisine but also most of the beers from the product range. Source: www.pivovarantos.cz
