November 11 is a day dedicated to the memory of war veterans. The date was chosen to mark the end of World War I in 1918. It is celebrated worldwide as Veterans Day or Remembrance Day. Since 2001, it has been an important day in the Czech Republic. Prague 2 established a tradition of commemorative events on this day at Náměstí Míru in 2015. The commemorative part of the program for the public will begin at 2 p.m. with the participation of distinguished guests from political, civil, and military life. Throughout the day, there will be presentations of historical and modern military technology. Come and buy a poppy flower to support historical and modern war veterans. You can honor the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for our security and freedom by placing flowers, candles, or crosses with your own messages in the cross grove. More
