Old Town Hall with Astronomical Clock

Visitors to Prague as well as local residents can now take a look directly into the heart of one of the world’s most important technical monuments: the Old Town Astronomical Clock, the oldest still-functioning astronomical clock in the world. Its newly accessible digital version makes this possible. A digital 3D model of the Astronomical Clock is now open to the public in the Knight’s Hall of the Old Town Hall.

The Digitalisation of the Old Town Astronomical Clock project was carried out in cooperation with CESNET, Prague City Tourism, and st.dio. The digital reconstruction of the clock not only serves educational and popularisation purposes but also provides the City of Prague with detailed documentation of this unique technical monument. Until now, no such comprehensive record of its mechanism had existed.

  • Daily 9:00 a.m.—8:00 p.m.
  • Knights’ Hall
  • Included in the basic admission price
