Pyrotechnic effects and cannon shots will cross the battlefield. The venue will be Bělohorská plain near the Hvězda Game Reserve. Gates will open at 12 o’clock both days. The battle will start at 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday. admission adults 250 CZK, children 150 CZK, a ticket for the grandstand + 50 CZK. Tickets can only be purchased at the official entrance. The event will also feature a historical marketplace and an accompanying program for children and adults (fencing shows, troop training, firearms interpretation, jugglers, musical performances and more). The reconstruction of the Battle of White Mountain (Bitva na Bílé hoře) is organised by the Bílá Hora 1620 civic association and is one of the largest events of its kind in Europe. The battle will be recreated to resemble the real historical event as closely as possible. “The two-hour battle was rather a skirmish due to its fast course, but it decided the fate of the entire Estates uprising and decisively influenced the fate of the Czech state for the next 300 years. As a result, all people had to convert to the Catholic faith or leave Bohemia. Many people fled across the border and 27 Czech lords ended up on the scaffold. We are trying to show the battle in a way that resembles the real historical event as much as possible,” says Martin Cholinský, the organiser of the event.
