The Prague Spring Debut, intended for talented young Czech conductors, has become an integral part of the festival, closely followed by critics and the public alike. The thirteenth debutant in the series will be Ondřej Soukup, a graduate of the prestigious Royal College of Music in London and the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, and winner of the Ionel Perlea International Conducting Competition, in 2026. On May 18, he will conduct the Prague Philharmonia orchestra for the first time in the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum in a program full of musical dance rhythms and celebrations of the American musical spirit.
