National Museum of Agriculture

Czech paper nativity scenes are among the unique treasures of the domestic Christmas tradition, admired far beyond the borders of the Czech Republic. The exhibition at the National Agricultural Museum showcases their extraordinary diversity, imagination, and fairy-tale atmosphere, including a life-size nativity scene by Pavel Pecina, works from the traditional nativity scene-making regions of Třebíč and Ústí nad Orlicí, and works by famous illustrators and painters such as Josef Lada, Mikoláš Aleš, and Jiří Trnka.
