Noc betlémů (Night of Nativity Scenes) is a nationwide Christmas event during which nativity scenes are displayed in museums and exhibitions in unusual evening lighting, often accompanied by a program of guided tours, concerts, and special lighting, extending the traditional Christmas season and making nativity scenes accessible at times other than usual.

In Prague, the following are joining the Night of Nativity Scenes:

  • December 27, 2025, until 8:00 p.m., Břevnov Monastery, exhibition We Love Nativity Scenes, featuring guided tours by the creators of the nativity scenes with night lighting.
  • December 28, 2025, 5:00 p.m.—8:00 p.m., National Agricultural Museum, guided tours of the exhibition “Czech Folk Paper Nativity Scenes,” Kostelní 1300/44, Prague 7
    The unique Czech phenomenon of paper nativity scenes comes to life in the magical atmosphere of Prague in the evening. You can look forward to the Paper Nativity Scenes exhibition, the open roof of the National Agricultural Museum with a breathtaking view of the illuminated city skyline, and the opportunity to enjoy tea or mulled wine from the Mlsná kavárna café right on the terrace. At 6:30 p.m., the program will conclude with a guided tour of the exhibition with Vladimír Glaser, director of the Museum of Czech Christmas. The Night of Nativity Scenes will take place across the country from December 27 to 30, 2025.
In the Prague area, you can visit Roztoky, Říčany, Ořech, and Stará Boleslav.
