The 32nd annual Next Wave Festival, featuring theater, music, dance, literature, visual arts, and other alternative forms of expression, will take place from September 20 to 29. Programs and performances can be enjoyed at various venues throughout Prague, with some performances taking place outdoors. This year, the festival will once again focus on ecology, politics, and, above all, people. This year's theme, "One Step Before the End," is not meant to evoke a negative future. The performances will emphasize ecology and politics. Over the course of ten days, there will be four premieres and five one-off, unique events. As every year, in addition to theater performances, the festival will also offer visual and literary performances, a staged reading by Dominik Obruč, and a concert by the singer-songwriter Člověk krve (Man of Blood) by the fire. New to this year's program is an ecological film workshop led by Jan Motal and a screening of a short film created during the workshop. Selected screenings will be followed by discussions with the filmmakers. Venues: The festival takes place at various venues, not only theaters, for example at the Savarin Riding Hall, Petr Nikl’s studio, Kampa Park, Štvanice Island, and Letenské sady Park. More
