Strahov Monastery

Strahov Monastery invites the general public to the Feast of Saint Norbert, which will offer a full-day program dedicated to the legacy of Saint Norbert, founder of the Premonstratensian order, on Saturday, May 2. Visitors can expect musical performances and a monastery fair in the Strahov Courtyard, short organ concerts in the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, and an extraordinary opening of normally inaccessible areas. The program will commemorate the spiritual tradition of the monastery and the historical event of the transfer of Norbert's relics from Magdeburg to Prague in 1627. The festivities will combine cultural, historical, and spiritual dimensions and offer a unique opportunity to experience Strahov Monastery in its extraordinary beauty.
