The Weinberg Gallery presents the work of Eva Fišerová – an academic painter and sculptor, and one of the most prominent figures in Slovak visual art. Eva Fišerová (*1947, Žilina) is an internationally acclaimed artist whose work transcends the borders of Slovakia and Europe. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava under Václav Cigler. She has exhibited individually in major cities such as Paris, London, Strasbourg, and The Hague, and her works are part of numerous important public and private collections across Europe, the USA, Canada, and Asia. The exhibition CODE EQ offers an overview of Fišerová’s work from the 1990s to the early 2010s. It includes a selection of her glass and bronze sculptures, as well as paintings – both oil and mixed media. Her art is deeply personal, metaphorical, and expressive. It stems from inner emotions translated into imaginative, often geometric forms. With equal mastery, she works with materials like glass and bronze, and with the color, texture, and composition of painting. Her pieces radiate energy, mystery, and a striking honesty – inviting a powerful visual and emotional experience. date and time Mon—Thur 11:00—18:00
