Cimrman’s Fairytale — ‘The Long, Wide and Short-sighted’ is a story of two princes who are brothers and both seek the hand of the fair maiden Golilocks; however, the intentions of the brothers are different: one wants to marry her because she is beautiful and the other because she is rich. When they meet Goldilocks, they see that she has been turned into a man by the Giant, Kolodej, for refusing to marry him. In order to break the Giant’s curse, they need to find the Giant. To do that they enlist the services of the guide, Sharp-sighted who insists that before going to the Giant, they need to visit Old Knowitall who will help them in their quest to defeat the Giant, break the curse and return Goldilocks to her former beauty.
