The folk saying “every Czech is a musician” didn't come about by chance. Let yourself be carried away by the talent of world-class musicians in one of the local jazz clubs, such as Reduta, Jazz Dock, or Jazz Republic, where it’s not uncommon to encounter stars from the club scenes of New York, Montreal, or London. The fact that the talent of the bohemian Czechs has gone down in musical history is evidenced by the number of famous composers, which is why the music of Dvořák, Smetana, Mysliveček, and Janáček is still a permanent fixture of the repertoires of local orchestras. The most famous of these is, of course, the Czech Philharmonic. If you catch them in Prague in between their international tours, you can hear them on their home stage at the Rudolfinum or even at some of the popular open-air concerts in Prague.
