Dvořák Prague Festival

The Dvořák Prague International Music Festival is one of the highlights of the Czech capital’s cultural calendar. It is not only a celebration of the musical legacy of Antonín Dvořák, the Czech Republic’s most internationally renowned composer, but also a major social event that brings leading soloists, conductors, prestigious international orchestras, and chamber ensembles to Prague every year. The nineteenth edition of the festival will take place from 5 to 23 September 2026 and will feature a programme organized into traditional thematic series that present Dvořák’s work in a broader context.

Leading figures of the classical music world will return to the festival stages, including Filarmonica della Scala, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Czech Philharmonic, and this year’s Artist-in-Residence, Magdalena Kožená. In addition to outstanding symphonic concerts, the festival will present chamber music evenings, recitals, opera projects, and other exceptional events offering a unique perspective on Dvořák’s legacy and today’s international music scene.

The festival’s main venue is the Rudolfinum, where Antonín Dvořák conducted the Czech Philharmonic’s inaugural concert on 4 January 1896. The programme will also extend to other notable Prague venues, including the Convent of St Agnes, Artium by KKCG at Bořislavka Centre, Theatre X10, and, for the first time, the Prague Conservatory Concert Hall.
