Polish pianist Rafał Blechacz, one of the most distinguished interpreters of Chopin’s legacy among his generation, will perform at the Dvořák Prague Festival in a solo recital that blends Baroque depth, Classical lyricism, and Romantic passion. Bach’s compositions and Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” open the evening, which culminates with Chopin — in the form of mazurkas, a scherzo, and the monumental Second Sonata. Virtuosity, intimacy, and stylistic purity are on full display in the performance of an artist whose playing has the power to completely captivate the audience.
