The traditional St. Martin’s Day celebrations are returning to Charles Bridge. On November 11 at 11:11 a.m., a festive procession featuring St. Martin on a white horse, accompanied by geese, Roman soldiers, and a cart carrying a symbolic load of snow, will set out from the 11th pier. At Křižovnické Square, visitors can enjoy a medieval market, tastings of St. Martin’s Day specialties and wines, a cultural program, and the unique atmosphere of one of Prague’s most popular fall festivals. Saint Martin will ride on a white horse dressed as a Roman soldier. Behind him will follow a horse-drawn carriage full of snow and a hundred Roman soldiers. The procession will ceremoniously cross Charles Bridge to Křižovnické Square, where the first snowfall will be handed over to the mayor of Prague. The program will include a medieval market with St. Martin’s Day specialties at Křížovnické Square. More
