Signal is a festival of digital and creative culture. In 12 years, it has welcomed more than 4,5 million visitors in Prague. It combines contemporary visual art, urban space, and modern technology. It has become the most attended cultural event in the Czech Republic. You can look forward to videomappings, projections, and breathtaking installations. The thirteenth festival returns to the streets of Prague and brings to life previously undiscovered, but also very well-known places. A gallery zone, renowned foreign and Czech artists, performances, sound installations and much more.

The festival has two routes, this year the Center route and the Vinohrady route. A total of 20 installations will be on display at 13 publicly accessible locations — 7 of which are located indoors as part of Signal INSIDE.
The thirteenth edition of the Signal Festival will once again feature video mapping on two buildings in historic Prague. Video mapping on the Old Town Hall and St. Ludmila’s Basilica.

Public section
Freely accessible installations in streets, parks, and squares — every day between 7:00 p.m. and midnight.

Signal INSIDE
Seven unique locations with limited capacity. Site-specific installations, a quieter atmosphere, a curated selection of the best Czech and international artists. You can look forward to interactive installations, performances, and unique locations that are not normally open to the public. You will need a ticket to enter Signal INSIDE. Signal INSIDE locations are part of the festival routes and can be easily combined with a visit to the freely accessible installations. With your ticket, you can see the entire Signal Festival program.
This year’s theme: Ecosystems III, subtitled Solutions
Energy, Attraction, and Iteration are three concepts from physics that together form the fundamental space-time forces of our world. However, their meanings are amusingly ambiguous.

For the first time ever at Signal Festival, a unique 3D light projection will be presented on a waterscreen on the river. The work Light of Tzolk’in is based on the Mayan calendar and explores the eternal cycle of creation and destruction. It offers viewers the opportunity to pause, step out of the trap of time scarcity, and realize that we are only a small part of much larger cycles that transcend us.
