The Prague Fringe Festival is an international English-language theater festival held annually in late May in the picturesque Lesser Town district of Prague. It offers a diverse mix of theater, comedy, music, and physical and experimental arts, where entertainment meets the courage to cross genre boundaries. The program is open to a wide audience, including both regular theatergoers and those looking to discover theater in new forms. In 2026, the festival celebrates its 25th anniversary and returns to its full nine-day format. Artists from all over the world — from the U.S. and Brazil to Scotland and India, and from Taiwan to Australia — will gather in Prague. Alongside new faces, the festival will also feature beloved performers who return regularly. Since 2002, the festival has offered Czech and international audiences a unique opportunity to experience English-language theater in the historic center of Prague, in the intimate atmosphere of small venues with direct contact between the audience and the creators. This year’s edition once again confirms the festival’s reputation as a space for originality, humor, contemporary themes, and bold personal statements. → Program tickets Advance tickets: 300 CZK At the door during the festival: 350 CZK Credit card payments only. venues Malostranská beseda — Club Museum of Alchemists — Apropo Theater Café Club Míšenská Inspirace Theater A Studio Rubín Metro Comedy Club Tequila Tales The original festival was founded in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1947 and remains the largest arts festival in the world to this day.
