The best thing a jazz concert can offer its audience is the shared experience of musical improvisation. And that is exactly what the Midnight Pilgrims concert at Jazz Republic will offer. The band is led by Lukáš Chejn, whose absolute passion for playing hypnotizes the audience, as do his distinctive jazz improvisations, which often transcend the usual boundaries of the genre. A guitarist with rock energy, who has worked his way up to extraordinary musicianship almost entirely as a self-taught musician, he is closely associated with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. Lukáš Chejn's solo can also be heard on Vince Mendoza's album Freedom Over Everything, which received two Grammy nominations in 2021. The club is open from 8 p.m. until midnight and, in addition to music, also offers drinks and Mexican-inspired snacks through the evening. If you miss the first half of the concert, they continue with a second set from 10:30 p.m. The concert is part of the Free Entry Concept — admission is free for all visitors (aged 18+), but we recommend reserving your seats online.
