The LUSTR International Illustration and Comics Festival returns to Prague’s Holešovice Market Hall for its 13th edition. From September 24 to 30, 2026, it will feature exhibitions, artist-led projects, workshops, and meet-and-greets with leading Czech and international illustrators and comic book creators. programme LANDSCAPE 2.0 This year’s main exhibition explores the human impact on the landscape and the environment. It focuses on the interplay between nature and culture, landscapes transformed by humans, and the emergence of new, unexpected habitats. This exhibition of contemporary art is divided into sections dedicated to comics, free illustration, and creative collectives. It will feature an exceptionally diverse selection of artists from the Czech Republic and abroad. Salon: Portugal This year’s national focus is on Portugal. Illustrator and publisher André Letria from Pato Lógico has selected five prominent figures from the local illustration scene. Illustration Symposium The exhibition will present works created during the illustrators’ residency in Broumov, where diverse artistic approaches, sources of inspiration, and new creative collaborations come together. Accompanying Exhibitions and Projects Outside Hall 17 “Mamma Mia?” at The Chemistry Gallery — Through their work, six female illustrators explore themes that personally concern, upset, or provoke them to reflect. Travel Diaries, Maps, and Guides at Letohrádek Hvězda — This traveling exhibition dedicated to the phenomenon of travel in illustration and comics will be complemented by original travel sketchbooks by Josef Váchal, Mikoláš Aleš, and other prominent Czech artists. Never Again — An exhibition project in the space next to Hall 17 brings together Czech and German illustrators. It responds to current manifestations of hatred, nationalism, and threats to democratic values in Europe through original illustrations and comics. More
