Pianist and composer Gerald Clayton is one of the leading stars of contemporary jazz. A six-time GRAMMY nominee, he has received numerous prestigious honors, including a Recording Academy award for the album Live at the Village Vanguard (released on Blue Note Records) and second prize at the Thelonious Monk International Competition. He currently serves as Director of the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra and Music Director of Monterey Jazz Festival On Tour.
