Garbage is returning to the Czech Republic after more than twenty years and will perform at the Lucerna Grand Hall in Prague on June 9, 2026. Led by the charismatic Shirley Manson, the band last performed here in 2005 and will offer a cross-section of their greatest hits as well as songs from their later albums, confirming their long-standing influence on the alternative rock scene. The new album Let All That We Imagine Be The Light is Garbage’s eighth studio recording and one of their most personal albums, which the band will draw on during their concert on June 9, 2026, in the Great Hall of Lucerna. The album was created under unexpected circumstances after Shirley Manson was forced to interrupt her concert tour in 2024 due to serious health complications. The long-term effects of an injury she sustained in 2016 required surgery and a difficult recovery, which led to the sudden cancellation of a planned world tour and opened the door to a new creative chapter for the band. Datum und Uhrzeit While Shirley was recovering, Butch Vig, Duke Erikson, and Steve Marker spent the year creating musical foundations and atmospheric layers, which they gradually sent to her. It was this process that became the basis for the material that will also be performed live—songs formed in a period of fragility, vulnerability, but also rediscovered strength. The album differs from the previous, significantly confrontational No Gods No Masters in its more intimate and emotional approach, which takes on another dimension on stage. The concert at Prague’s Lucerna will offer fans the opportunity to hear new songs in dialogue with the iconic hits that have accompanied Garbage throughout their career. Let All That We Imagine Be The Light is a musically cinematic, layered, and strongly atmospheric album that reflects on personal and social issues of the present. The Prague evening promises an exceptional encounter with the band at the height of their creative powers, where a new chapter will naturally connect with Garbage’s more than thirty-year history.
