In 2026, the National Gallery in Prague will celebrate its 230th anniversary, commemorating the founding of the Society of Patriotic Friends of the Arts, which laid the foundations for today's gallery on February 5, 1796. To mark the occasion, the NGP is preparing free admission to its exhibitions and a series of accompanying events that will showcase the development of the art collection from its beginnings to the present day.
