Saxophonist, singer, guitarist, songwriter, and arranger Jimmy Carpenter, originally from New Orleans, is one of the most respected figures on today’s scene. He is a two-time Blues Music Award winner in the Best Instrumentalist/Horn category (2021 and 2022) and also a Grammy winner as co-writer of a song on Atmosphere by the New Orleans Nightcrawlers. His album Just Got Started, released on Gulf Coast Records, debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Blues Chart and followed a string of highly acclaimed releases.
