The St Mathew's Fair is the first spring fair in Prague and also the most visited fair in the Czech Republic. It takes place every year in the spring months at the Prague Exhibition Grounds and offers a wide range of attractions, traditional fairground entertainment, and modern attractions for children and adults alike. Visitors can enjoy more than 100 attractions.You can have fun on the centrifuge, in the haunted house, at the shooting galleries, on the carousels, swings, bouncy castles, rocking boats, in the house of laughter, or at the racetrack. The tradition of holding the St Mathew’s Fair has been archived at the National Library since 1595. It became famous because it was the first spring fair in Prague, celebrating the Day of St. Mathew, which was originally on February 24. The St Mathew’s Fair is also the first spring fair in Europe.
