Parks auf dem Berg Petřín

A series of races held across the country will commemorate the anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia. The largest race of the series will take place in Prague, in Malá Strana, where runners will cover a 6.5 km course over Petřín Hill.

The main race begins with a group walk from Tyrš House to the starting line, located on Hellichova Street (about 400 meters away).

Participants can look forward to running up to Kinský Summer Palace, enjoying panoramic views of Prague from every angle thanks to the many switchbacks. Along the route, they will pass landmarks such as the Hunger Wall, the Petřín Funicular, and the Petřín Lookout Tower. Upon entering the Great Strahov Garden, runners will be rewarded with a stunning view of Prague Castle. From there, a beautiful long downhill stretch will lead them back to the starting point. The race is run mainly on asphalt. Along the route, a surprise entertainment program awaits the runners, sure to motivate them to give their best performance. The course is suitable for both experienced runners and amateurs who want to soak up the atmosphere of the Sokol Run of the Republic and celebrate the founding of the republic through movement.

Race Courses:
Adults 6,5 km,
Children 400 a 800 m

A themed entertainment program will run along the entire race course. The facilities for runners will be located at Tyrš House, the headquarters of the Czech Sokol Organization, offering a rich accompanying program for both children and adults.

The event is co-organized by the Czech Sokol Organization. The individual races, including the creation of the courses, are organized directly by local Sokol units and districts, with some events also supported by the local municipalities.
