The Prague Film Awards were born from the desire to create a multicultural platform that connects international and Czech filmmakers, film lovers and industry experts, bringing the freshest independent films to the heart of Prague. The festival, which will once again take place at the Světozor Cinema, combines short and feature films of various genres and styles in its program — from original experiments to powerful documentaries to distinctive feature films. Programme This year’s themes include the challenges of breakups in Karaokiss (directed by Mila Ryngaert, Belgium), the cycle of life in Being and Nothingness (directed by Jiwoo Kim, South Korea), and stories of love, sexuality, and friendship in Yentl Vlachos’s coming-of-age film Wetboy. The festival will close with Bird in Hand, a feature film that explores issues of race, family, and identity in a darkly comedic and emotional way. → Programme Admission fee General 120 CZK/screening Discounted for students and seniors 100 CZK/screening Films are in English or with English subtitles
