An exhibition of paintings by Michal Tomek, an artist who defies contemporary fashion. Through classical painting and under the veneer of the 'painterly grotesque,’ he explores the events and tensions of our time. His works are as witty as they are ominous. Michal Tomek (b. 1951) trained in painting and restoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. For many years, he specialized in the restoration of paintings and murals both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Since 2000, he has focused exclusively on his own painting and drawing.
