The largest Latin American festival in the Czech Republic is back! Merkádo 2026 will once again transform the Holešovice Market into a vibrant world of Latin America — full of music, dance, scents, and flavors. Now in its thirteenth year, the festival brings Latin culture to life through markets featuring dozens of vendors, performances, dance workshops, a children’s program, and lectures. Look forward to authentic food prepared by Latin Americans living in the Czech Republic, as well as the colors, rhythms, and atmosphere that will transport you thousands of miles away. The event will feature stalls offering traditional products — from chili peppers, mate, and exotic fruits to unique textiles, jewelry, and crafts made by “artesanos” from South and Central America. You can look forward to traditional dishes prepared by Latin Americans living in the Czech Republic, complemented by select Latin American restaurants and bars. Merkádo offers a unique opportunity to sample dishes from Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico. Visitors can try steak from an Argentine parrilla grill, Colombian empanadas, Peruvian anticuchos, or Venezuelan arepas. Selected bars will offer typical regional spirits: Mexican mezcal, Brazilian cachaça, Cuban rum, as well as a wide range of South American wines from Peru, Chile, and Argentina. Traditional hammocks will be available on the festival grounds. Admission to the festival is free.
