Letňany Airport Day invites you to an all-day program filled with aviation history, technology, and unique experiences for the whole family and aviation professionals alike. This year’s event, subtitled “Trainer Legends,” will highlight legendary trainer aircraft and the airport’s key role in pilot training during World War II and the post-war years. Visitors can look forward to a unique display of historic and modern aircraft, dynamic demonstrations in the air and on the ground, and a varied accompanying program at the site where the history of Czech aviation has been written for over a century. Aircraft from Switzerland, Germany, Poland, and other European countries are expected to gather in Letňany, some of which may never have been seen in the Czech Republic before. In addition to historic aircraft, Letňany Airport Day will also feature modern demonstrations by the Czech Army, the Czech Police, and other partners. The program will run in half-hour blocks from morning until early evening and will include flight demonstrations, static displays on the ground, modeler exhibitions, and a supporting program for all ages.
