Le Čhavendar is an original Roma band performing exclusively their own music. Their style blends traditional Roma melodies with jazz, soul, funk, and bossa nova, with a strong focus on authenticity, emotion, and humanity. The members, descendants of the legendary band Kale, began composing music as teenagers and were discovered by singer Ida Kelarová, who immediately recognized their exceptional talent. A major breakthrough came when they won the Zlín Talent 2004 competition with their original song Sako Vakerel. The band has performed in London, Berlin, Munich, and Krakow.
