On Saturday, October 18, the Ctěnice castle grounds will be transformed into a bustling medieval market. International Archaeology Day will offer a day full of games, crafts, music, and historical experiences for the whole family. Right at the gate, you will draw one of five medieval roles and instantly transform into a knight, merchant, scholar, craftsman, or peasant. You will test your aim at archery, your skills at making historical objects, and your sharp mind in knowledge tasks. In short, you will experience the Middle Ages in the shoes of your character. The afternoon will include demonstrations of crafts by the Tempus Artificum association. You can try some of them yourself in workshops. Medieval music will be played. Handmade products and delicacies will be available for purchase. An archaeologist will guide you through the exhibition History of the Village of Vinoř from Prehistory to the 20th Century.
